DAW KYI KYI THAN
CHAIRMAN
Daw Kyi Kyi Than is the founder of Myanmar Oriental Bank and since 1993 when the bank was founded, she has served the bank with various positions starting from a Marketing Director (1993), General Manager (1996), Deputy Managing Director (2008), Managing Director (2010) and promoted as a Chairwoman in 2016. Daw Kyi Kyi Than graduated from Yangon University with the major in Physics in 1981. She is one of the major shareholders of the bank and she has been acting as a member of Board of Directors since the bank was founded. With her 25 years of experience, she has been leading the bank to its development by promoting the quality of bank staff.
DAW KYAING KYAING SEIN
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
Daw Kyaing Kyaing Sein has been a shareholder since 1999 and acted as a member of the Board of Directors of the bank from June 1999 to November 2003 and from October 2015 until now. She holds a M.B.B.S degree and graduated from University of Medicine (Yangon) in 1980. She also holds an MA in Public Administration from Harvard University which she received in 1998. She worked as an Assistant Doctor at Yangon General Hospital from 1982 and as a project manager at World Vision and as a NGO consultant respectively. She started as a Senior General Manager of the International Relation & Business Development Department at the bank and since 2016, she has been acting as a Deputy Managing Director to improve the bank’s human resources development.
U HLA KYI
DIRECTOR
U Hla Kyi has been working at Myanmar Oriental Bank since 1996. He has served as one of the Board of Directors as well as Senior General Manager of Finance Department since 2012 before being appointed as the head of the Treasury Department in 2018. He received Bachelor of Science Degree majored in Physics in 1974 and worked for Myanmar Agricultural Development Bank and Central Bank of Myanmar. He retired as Head of Staffs from the Central Bank.
U HLA THAUNG
DIRECTOR
U Hla Thaung , a retired General Manager of Myanmar Economic Bank and a career banker with experience of 38 years in commercial and agriculture banking , joined the bank in 2006. He was appointed as General Manager and afterwards promoted to the post of Deputy Managing Director in November 2011. He became a member of the Board in the same year. In 2015, he resigned from his full – time jobs as Deputy Managing Director. Currently, he is also the Chairman of the Board Audit and Compliance Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Maths) degree from the Yangon University. He attended a 2-month training course on financing of small scale industries at the National Institute of Small Industrial Extension Training (NISIET) in India while he was at the state bank.
U NYO MYINT
DIRECTOR
U Nyo Myint is a Director of MOB and he is also acting as a Senior Managing Director of KBZ Group of Companies. Before he moved to the private organization, he worked as Director of Central Bank of Myanmar.
He worked as a consultant when he first joined KBZ Group but he is now serving as the senior project lead for all KBZ Group businesses.

U MYA BU
DIRECTOR
U Mya Bu has been a shareholder since 1993 and has served as a member of Board of Directors since December 2016. He received a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) Degree in 1974 and worked as a trainee engineer at Myanmar Port Authority and from Junior Engineer to Deputy Chief Engineer at a Singaporean Shipping Company. He is now working on construction projects in Yangon and Mandalay.
U AUNG THAN

U Aung Than has been a shareholder since the bank was founded in 1993. He has served as a member of Board of Directors since 2008. He graduated from University of Yangon with a Science degree majored in Chemistry in 1978. He is managing his own businesses.
U Zin Win Htet
DEPUTY MANAGING DIRECTOR
U Zin Win Htet (Nick) joined Myanmar Oriental Bank in November 2017 and he is currently managing strategic projects, relationship with stakeholders, and implementing the transformation agenda. He was previously the Head of Finance, looking after the bank’s budget, asset-liability management, and financial reporting. Prior to joining MOB, he has worked at Deloitte & Touche, providing buy-side financial due diligence services, financial modeling services and valuation pricing support advisory to local corporateclients as well as MNCs. He has also worked at Frontier Market Asset Management LLP, an investment firm based out of San Diego, the United States, where he performed security analysis and valuation of frontier market equities. Nick holds a MSc International Business from Birmingham Business School in England and BSc Biology from UC San Diego in the United States.
